Communications Enabled Business Processes -
Allow us to introduce CEBP - Communications Enabled Business Processes. Avaya’s holistic business solution can substantially accelerate your business processes and transform communications across multiple channels. A recent Gartner study shows that 80 % of companies using CEBP gain a competitive advantage. Among companies using CEBP, 10 % have improved efficiency by 50 %. CEBP adds further capability to your company’s business process communications and is a critical step in achieving an “intelligent enterprise.” CEBP is designed to achieve reduced latency and improve operational effectiveness. Critical events often occur because decision-makers cannot be reached, business processes have to be halted due to a lack of information or because people are unavailable. It is equally problematic if a company undergoes growth and the level of virtual communication increases. Communications enabled processes address these issues and resolve them. How does CEBP work? After an initial analysis of relevant processes, functional enhancements are integrated within such business applications as your company's ERP, SCM or Customer Relationship Management solutions for monitoring real-time communication. An event processor continuously monitors and analyzes business processes. Even the most complex events or unusual patterns are detected and interpreted by the processor in real-time. If an important event occurs, it triggers notification via the Communications Process Manager. Relevant data is taken from sources such as a Business Warehouse (BW) or LDAP system. The Communications Process Manager identifies the right people and user groups and allows them to connect based on the multi-channel infrastructure of the Unified Communication and Contact Center. Communication is seamlessly carried out by e-mail, text messaging, a call to an office or cell phone or by initiating a phone conference. The Communications Process Manager differentiates between several notification methods. The most basic methods are a notification, notification together with a task list, or a text message—with or without confirmation of receipt. However, the range of functions goes far beyond these basic features. Responses can be requested by the system a specified number of times or phone conferences can be initiated. A special feature allows messages and responses to be recorded for later review. Deployment scenarios for CEBP Communications Enabled Business Processes are utilized in the manufacturing sector, at hospitals or clinics, electric power utilities or in finance—in short, basically anywhere critical situations call for key decision makers to act quickly or where experts have to be called in. Conclusion CEBP follows a consistent system approach. Based on industry standards, it offers a high degree of investment protection and expands existing processes while systematically pursuing value chain processes and supply chain responsiveness. CEBP can be deployed across your company and integrated seamlessly, including customer and supplier integration. Implementing CEBP can reduce downtime and latency while improving service quality.
